I had a zoom interview by a research assistant where i needed to explain what i know and why i want this job. The next step was an interview with the professor that lead the reaserch.
The process was relatively straightforward and casual. It began with an initial discussion about my academic background and technical skills, followed by a deeper dive into the specific research projects the lab was currently conducting to see if my experience aligned with their goals.

Very polite interview, respectful, mostly oriented towords legal questions related to the field of law that is the research of said professor. eventually chose not to take the position, but i would recommend to those interested in academic research.
