I received an email for an interview. When I arrived I was surprised to find a room full of other applicants there. We were given paperwork and while we filled it out someone came and gave us some facts about the company. Minutes later he came back and asked us to 6 questions to see if we remembered the information he had just told us. Then they called applicants back one by one. When I was called back I was quickly told that I wouldn’t be a good fit based on my salary expectations and that he would start me at a minimal salary despite my management experience. This salary was less than what was posted on the job site. It was a complete waste of time and inconsiderate for all the applicants. People who are looking for employment shouldn’t be subject to rudimentary hiring processes just because managers/owners fail to screen applicants. I can guarantee that I was the best dressed. Had the most experience. I’m also pretty sure I remembered most of the crazy questions. I would never want to work at a place like this. The interview process alone showed me their care for people and the reason for their lack!
