I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tesla in Sept 2022
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter after applying through Indeed, and asked a few standard questions. I was told that they wanted to offer me an interview, and gave me study materials and guides on what they were looking for from a prospective candidate. After about a week, I went in for my interview; there were six of us interviewing at the same time (although it wasn't a group interview), and we all met with individual interviewers spread throughout the same room. The first part of the interview took about 15 minutes and involved a super basic general computer use assessment (an example of a task they asked me to perform was, "are you able to clear your internet browser's cookies and history?") coupled with a typing test. After completing this portion of the interview, I was asked questions regarding why I wanted to work at Tesla, past work scenarios and how I handled them, etc. The last portion of the interview regarded a practical assessment to gauge the accuracy of my ability in what my daily job function would consist of. Although I was not offered a position (most likely due to the last portion of the interview *cough* *cough*), I do regard this experience as a positive one! Everyone was professional and I genuinely feel like I was given a strong opportunity to be prepared for every stage of the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Thinking back to a scenario at a current or previous employer, what was a time where things did not go as planned, and how did you handle the situation?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tesla (Buffalo, NY)
Interview
There was a recruiter who prepped me for the interview over the phone. She gave tricks and tips and then Tesla called me over video call. They generally did as she predicted and then gave me a website to do a trial test on. After I submitted, they called in two days to give an offer.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had a team member that was difficult to work with. How did you handle the situation?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Draper, UT) in June 2024
Interview
All done virtually. Recruiter from out of state reached out, a time sensitive Matching Game Assessment was then scheduled. Upon passing that did a virtual interview with someone in Buffalo, NY and had to do the screen shared typing and computer skills assessment at the end of the interview
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Palo Alto, CA) in Dec 2023
Interview
I was contacted directly on Indeed by a recruiter [always a good sign, it goes much better than when I contact them!]
I took some tests, did well enough to make to the next round, and was hired, was told it was unanimous to decide.
I can't give out details due to NDA, but it was a great interview!
