I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tessian in Feb 2019
Interview
I want to be as impartial as possible, but Tessian have sadly let down during the interview process. I was hopefully positive during it, and the first interview call went well - though didn't seem particularly difficult or different. Pretty standard questions.
They then ask you to complete the email strategy. I've designed one before very successfully, so thought this was a great task. I completed and submitted. A week later I receive a very generic email advising I had been rejected. No advice as to why. I've been in contact for feedback but received nothing to my emails.
Tessian seem like a good company, and one worth working for. But very few other companies become as impersonal as soon as they decide it's a no, so my belief in that has strayed. Would I recommend applying to others? I'm not sure I would anymore.
Select 3 targets from 3 different emails and draft a series of emails to get a meeting. No more information provided as task is deliberately meant to be subjective.
Thanks for your review; please accept our apologies that you didn't have a great end-to-end experience interviewing at Tessian. Your feedback has been passed on to the relevant teams, as we're always looking to improve. We wish you the best of luck with your search.

Face to Face meeting
Everyone was really pleasant, they asked quite detailed questions about my experience and motivations but they took the time to make me feel really welcomed.
I didn't get an offer, we discussed the role and I think we all felt it wasn't quite the right fit, but I learnt a lot from the process and wish them all the best!

Question 1
What did I know about Tessian and what Tessian does
In short: I had to complete a time intensive task and the company never got back to me.
I had a 20-minute phone interview that went well. I was then given a task to prepare for the next stage of the interview process. The task was to identify three targets and their contact details and design a series of prospecting emails. It took me a couple of hours to complete this which I thought was quite a lot to ask at such an early stage in the interview process. I believe I did a really good job with the task, however, nobody bothered to get back to me. Even after following up, I never heard back. Not even a thank you note for completing the task. Rude.

Select 3 target opportunities in 3 different sectors and draft a series of emails to get an initial meeting
Hi there, I'm really sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience, and this is absolutely not how we try to run things here at Tessian. We've had a few people on annual leave in recent weeks and it's possible we missed this for which we unreservedly apologise, as regardless, this should not have happened. If you'd be able to email hiring@tessian.com and reference this review, we'll make sure to provide feedback. Kind regards, the Tessian team
