      Package Development Engineer Interview

      2 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Lund, Skåne
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tetra Pak (Lund, Skåne) in Mar 2025

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter. The process was long (2+) months to get an answer, broken down into many steps where people kept asking always the same very basic questions. Overall def more formalities than substance. I was not an 100% fit according to the their posting. As they insisted that was a good fit, i went on with the application out of curiosity. Steps 1) 1st interview with the scouting recruiters 2) Application online 3) Pre-recorded online interview 4) Online interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed why i was a good fit (few general info on the job and team, but nothing specific) 5) Online assessment 6) In person interview with HR and hiring manager. The HR asked questions most of the time. The hiring manager was just staying there, not the best posture, sometimes adding few words on top of what i was saying - not really clear the intention or the content. Can't say if it was a setup, for most of the time i ignored it. The HR questions were likely from a set of pre-made very basic questions, some of which I was asked before. More than the content of the answer they were interested to place you in some category; if it was not clear which one, then they insisted. Everything felt out of context and basic. They asked me about salaries and next step, but I couldn't wait to leave. Something was off during the whole process, either their real interest was not there, maybe they just needed me as backup for someone else, or as cannon fodder for some basic job, or they did not know what they were looking for. At the end, none really explained me in concrete terms what the role could be. Waste of time, but good training on how some corporate may work

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

For the first serious interview with hiring manager basic questions (some same as the video interview). The only technical question was: -Do you work with data? For the last in-person interview : -What added value would you bring to the company? -What type of manager would you like? -How would you like to work if you had the freedom to choose? -Tell me when you took initiative at your current position etc
