I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Alliance for Positive Change (New York, NY)
Interview
It was a basic interview and I was explained every About the peer program. I think the interview went well. I was called by a staff member and connected to a program manager for an interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Alliance for Positive Change in July 2022
Interview
The recruiter that I worked with was really nice initially (but later ghosted me at the offer stage). I met with 2 team members one of which was the hiring manager. During the interview I was asked if I would be willing to work past 5pm and on the weekends in order to meet deadlines since they were understaffed.
Part of the interview process was a take home assignment which was to build a budget the template provided wasn't formatted correctly and had incomplete formulas. I was able to figure it out but this is something they should double check before asking candidates to complete.
Given that it was a contract role I was clear around the pay rate I was targeting prior to interviewing. During the offer stage I was told they wanted to move forward but at a lower rate. When I attempted to negotiate pay I never heard anything back not from them or the recruiter.

Question 1
Would you be willing to work past 5pm and/or weekends?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Alliance for Positive Change (New York, NY) in Mar 2018
Interview
Quick and straightforward. They would usually ask questions you would expect from an interview: Tell us about yourself, where do you see yourself in five years... That kind of stuff. Applicants need to have a passion for working with people and advocating for others.
