I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at The Blackstone Group (New York, NY) in June 2014
Interview
Initial meeting with the hiring manager, followed by a long interview to meet many members of the team. Second round repeated the first, with interviews with MDs and finally an interview with an SMD.

Interview
Had basic phone screening call with a BS recruiter with standard questions about resume and gave additional information about the position. Was invited to come into the city to interview with the BAAM team.

Question 1
Why are you looking to make the move over to BAAM?

Interview
Interview is a hassle, re explaining yourself several times. The interview process was meeting with 6 different people, one could not attend and I had to interview with one in the office from the phone. Was told and convinced I was qualified for the position several times, human resources had never even contacted me to give me the outcome of the interview and tell me I hadn't been chosen. It's a waste of your own money traveling to an interview from a different city through NYC to not even get an email update. Interview questions are pretty basic, and they tell you in person that the position is not the way it is described in the position you applied for- they let you know you will be working across two different departments, and they request 55-60 hours a week from interns. Had me waiting over 30-45 minutes in the waiting room on their department floor, and then whomever came to get me complained they did not know I was here because the secretary never buzzed them either- corporation does not even seem to care for you when you are interviewing, can't imagine being an employee.

Question 1
Describe Your Previous Experience? Capability to work 60 Hours as Intern? (You will have to repeat this to 5 people, which is overwhelming and ridiculous at any place to interview)
