I interviewed at The British Library (Leeds, England)
Interview
Panel.
3 people.
0 feedback.
No help.
I feel as if for an establishment as prestigious as the British library they would take more consideration for the interview process and how the person who is potentially going to get a job might feel in relation to possible feedback and diagnosis of their own interview. I mean, why not? Give feedback in such a hard world? Why not help someone?
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at The British Library (Boston Spa, England) in Apr 2026
Interview
Competency questions sent in advance and a straightforward presentation task.
Was told that the security guard would be expecting me but he seemed to have no clue. Had to pull over and show him my appointment confirmation to be let in.
Kept waiting for outcome for over two weeks due to ‘impossible’ decision based on the high calibre of applicants. No email communicating outcome, found out myself after logging into applicant portal.
The interviewers were pleasant enough.

Interview
It was great, got to learn a lot about role and opportunity. The interviewers were very knowledgeable and also encouraged me to answer without taking any pressure of the interview.
