Contacted through LinkedIn by someone in the organization. She then called me unexpectedly. Good thing I was a at good place and time to talk.
She asked me what types of roles I was interested in pursuing, salary expectations and to send her my resume after the call. She apparently contacted me for a role but then was vague about it.
The recruiter sent me a follow up email asking for my resume and salary expectations, to which I replied almost immediately. She was working too fast that she replied to me thinking that she was forwarding her email to another recruiter. In her response she sounded as if she was complaining about me by saying, "another one looking to make more than (X amount of money)..."
This is so unprofessional. If this is how they talk about their candidates behind their backs, then I don't want to partner with an organization like this.
Times have changed and now employees know their real worth in the market thanks to Glassdoor and other websites. Staffing agencies need to adapt to modern times and pay employees what they are worth.
