Applied and was contacted within next day to set up interview. Sent a video outlining the company and job details. Next step was to set up a day and time for a 30 minute phone call/interview. The day of, my interview time passes with no call. I checked my email to see if I missed something and realized the recruiter reached out cancelling 35 minutes before scheduled time. I was a bit thrown off, but life happens, let’s reschedule and give them some grace. We rescheduled for next day and verified the time worked well for the recruiter. They assured it did. I had to rearrange my current, busy work schedule to accommodate for an interview on a day that was not ideal. However, I am looking for a new position, so I understand needing to be flexible. Our interview time rolls around and I do not receive any call or email. I waited 10-15 minutes before emailing to verify I did not miss the call, as I wanted to be sure there was not an issue on my end. They called me right as I sent the email, 15 minutes past our scheduled time. They sounded frantic and apologized, letting me know they had something come up, two days in a row, they could not step away from. I assured them it was no problem and was understanding. However, this was not a good look, on top of cancelling the day before. In addition to being late, the recruiter could not answer any of my questions fully. Some of which included, what percentage of their current sales force meets quota (an important, valid question, as their base is quite low. Obviously I did not mention their low base to the recruiter), information about their benefits package, details about what is provided to work remotely, etc. I felt as though I was pulling teeth and that the call was extremely rushed. I did not feel my time and effort was valued or respected. I was quite interested in the position, but did not make it past this call. I figured it was not meant to be, but was a little put off by this experience. Maybe I caught the recruiter on a bad week, but if this was a solid representation of the company, I appreciate it not going any further.
