Upset Linguist: As a PM you will need to be constantly in contact with our linguists. At times the jobs are done successfully and there are no issues. However, there may be an occasion where a linguist is upset about a situation and we need to handle it professionally and respectfully. Please read below the situation and let us know how you would respond to this situation. Write your response in an email format. Linguist email on Tuesday afternoon: Assignment: ASL Interpreting for Friday at 11AM from 11:00AM to 4:00PM. The Client cancelled the Monday before (4 days before the assignment). Dear PM, I am emailing you because of the interpreting cancellation. We had previously confirmed that I would be interpreting this Friday at 11AM but I received a call last night saying the assignment was cancelled! I had already turned down two other jobs for this one. Even if the assignment was cancelled I should be paid for my hours (if not more!).
