Easy interview
Application
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Ohio State University in July 2011
Interview
You submit your application and then if accepted, you interview them. Not at all like industry. The key is finding a professor you like. There are no questions in the interview, it is more like a talk about what you want to research and your interests and goals. You just to have apply online and have a good resume with good grades and undergrad research. It is nothing like applying for an industry job.

Question 1
The application asks why you want to go to grad school and what your interests are. That is the hardest question because your answer should be about a page single spaced. It can't be "I like learning" or something of that nature.
I did not really have an interview process for my graduate research associate position so there isn't much else I can include in this section. Being a doctoral student, they needed students to help teach and grade assignments.

Interview
No interview required, so it was really easy. Only have to submit paperwork (tests, essay questions?, letters of recommendations), and if pass the screening, get offered a position. At least for my department (physics), will then be given the opportunity to come to the open house, where they try to convince you to attend Ohio State. Basically, a few days of tours, free food, and getting to know the faculty/ other students.
