The HR communication was kind and polite, nothing to complain about. It was a standard HR interview experience.
The technical interview felt more like a school exam than a professional discussion. Interviewers were smoking or vaping during the call, which came across as unprofessional and distracting. During the behavioral part, one interviewer even responded to some of my answers with sarcasm, despite asking abstract behavioral questions. This left a very negative impression and felt unnecessarily disrespectful. The technical stage felt poorly structured and lacking the respect and professionalism.
Overall it seems that the HR department at TOP operates separately from the teams conducting the technical interviews, with little coordination between them. Since TOP covers 20+ companies and projects, your experience may vary, but you might be unlucky as me and end up interviewing with a team that does not reflect the professionalism you’d expect.
