I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Point Group (Dallas, TX) in July 2025
Interview
Met with the CEO and another high-level person, and it was a great conversation. The problem centered on the HR/ hiring rep. She gave me a verbal offer of a certain number, then called me a day later to ask what I was making at my current employer. I was taken aback, and rather than declining to answer, I told her a certain number. The written offer later came in at the number I cited her, which was $10K lower than what the verbal offer was. The verbal offer number was within the range that they cited me in the screening call. The CEO was not sympathetic to this issue. While asking for past salary history is not illegal in Texas, it is in other states, and at the very least is highly unethical.

Question 1
The interviewer read through my entire resume front to back. We talked about some things that haven't come up in years.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Point Group
Interview
There were two recruiter interviews, three zoom meetings and one on-site. Every interview was different but one zoom interview was particularly long. I think they really wanted to get a sense of me.
Initial communication with the Corporate Recruiter was fairly straightforward and clear. After a series of emails, brief phone calls, and a phone interview that was less than 10 minutes long, an in-person interview was arranged soon thereafter, and I was pulled into a conference room with the Corporate Recruiter, who had a copy of my resume with red pen annotations all over it. The questions she asked were mainly about some of my resume items and work experience, with a few personality questions thrown in here and there. She pulled in one of the Associate VPs, who had a few more questions in the same category as before, and the interview was over.

Question 1
The interview questions were pretty straightforward, but some of the personality profile questions caught me off-guard, in a non-invasive way. I was pretty prepared for anything they could throw at me question-wise, but I hadn't stopped to consider some other aspects of my personality and work ethic.
