The recruiter at Prepared is warm and friendly. She creates a good impression during the interview. But she skipped standard and essential questions—she didn’t ask about compensation expectations, availability to start, or outline the interview process. It felt incomplete and transactional.
She did ask for my permission to use an AI tool to record the interview, which I agreed to.
As expected, I later received a standard rejection email. I replied to ask if she could share any feedback. Within minutes, I received a five-paragraph, bulleted response. While the feedback reflected the content of our conversation, it was clearly generated by AI. It was specific, but it felt inhuman and lacked authenticity.
It’s ironic that a person working in a people and culture role closed out the process in such an inhuman way. Way to take the “human” out of Human Resources.
