I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Salvation Army (Middlesbrough, England) in Feb 2023
Interview
A brief chat, mainly around what hours you are available for, informal and you got get introduced to the staff members. It's not like a formal job interview for a paid role.

Interview
It was overall quite easy and the line manager did not ask any tricky or difficult question. I passed it and went into the ‘probation’ on the same day of the interview. She did teach me a lot that day. However I have to decline the offer as the location is a little bit too far from home.
Went in, had a small chat then did a trial shift afterwards putting away items on the shelves. Overall, very chill experience. There was little to it - very approachable.
