I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Smilist (New York, NY) in Aug 2020
Interview
Deceptively positive, would make you feel like they are going to hire you. You will have multiple phone interviews with everyone including the CEO, then they wont contact you until you ask for a timeline, then they reject you.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Smilist (Long Island-Queens) in June 2025
Interview
Great interview process, my recruiter Chris was upfront and communicative throughout the process and answered every question that I threw at him. The onsite interview with Danielle P. went so well that I didn't even feel that it was an interview, i felt that i already worked there!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Smilist (New York, NY) in Jan 2025
Interview
Lack of transparency and follow up. I applied online for a part time position. Chris contacted me and asked me to consider a full time position at a different location. I was open minded and thought about it. I interviewed with the CEO and the office manager. I heard nothing afterwards. I had to message Chris to get a response. I was informed the company went with another candidate. I asked why and never heard back. I asked about the other location and was informed they want someone with 10+ years of experience. The job description for that location stated minimum of 3 years. Please be upfront with your candidates.
