      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      9 Apr 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

      I interviewed at The Sourcery

      Interview

I didn't get far in the process, but I was really impressed that everything was smooth and to the point. They were quick to review my application materials and let me know my status with them. One thing that they really did right was ask preliminary questions. I've done online surveys for some companies that pre-screen with 11 pages of repetitive "trick" questions. Those types of surveys are alienating to potential employees. In contrast, The Sourcery's application process was straightforward and I really wanted make sure I put some time into articulating my answers. They asked just a few questions that they wanted genuine answers for-- some were about personality and others were scenario type questions. When I got my rejection email, I trusted that I really just wasn't quite the perfect fit they were looking for. I think this is what the hiring process should be like and wish other companies would follow their example.

It’s great to hear that you enjoyed our process! We do read all of the responses to the questionnaire you’re referring to, so we’re glad to hear that you found it a helpful way to tell us more about yourself.

      Interview

I am disappointed in the lack of professionalism of this company. The internal recruiter for San Francisco, Chantal, rescheduled a few times for reasons unbeknownst to me, and this elongated the process about 3 more weeks past when the initial recruiter on LinkedIn reached out. I scheduled online with Chantal's calendar, and then when I was expecting a call that morning, she let me know that she could not take the call today an hour or so prior, and to reschedule on her calendar. From there, I rescheduled to a week later because "her entire week was booked" (this was on a Monday). On that Monday, I did not receive a call from her, as she was out of the office, and I was not informed. I had to send her a couple emails to get her to agree to call me later in the week, and 15 minutes prior to the rescheduled-rescheduled interview, she was "informed a few minutes ago that an offer had gone out." If she had passed me along to another internal recruiter, if any, that could have kept me in the running for potential candidacy, but I'm afraid her lack of oversight and poor organization deferred me from fair representation for being considered for this position. Needless to say, I will not be pursuing opportunities with this organization in the future.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Sourcery (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2017

      Interview

Had a call ,which went well . Sent me a assignment to do by the end of the week ( took about an hour). I submitted the assignment back to the recruiter via email and heard nothing back. I sent a follow up and no response. At least get back to me after I spent an hour doing something that I was not paid for and put a lot of effort into. I see them posting the same job over and over again and honestly, I would just beware of them wasting your time.
