The Valens Company interview questions

I was reached out to by their recruiter directly who I then set up an initial chat with. The phone call was very positive but the process after made me doubt their professionalism as a company. I reached out to my recruiter at tye 3 day mark, 7 day mark, and 10 day mark. Each time recieving a "the process is taking longer than expected" or "1-2 more days thanks!". Then 2 weeks later I recieved an email saying that the team loved my profile but that they were extending an offer to someone further along in the process. I'm sorry but that is unacceptable. I had 2 weeks to get further along in the process and you kept delaying. You were the one reaching out to me to apply for the position. I did not send in my application to start this process. If someone was that far along in the process you should not have tried to recruit me. It was unprofessional and rude, quite honestly. I hope for your sake you figure out the correct process for hiring because in reading these reviews it seems that I'm not the first to have a problem with the interview process.

I did an initial phone screen with HR, who was very upfront about the process and set clear timelines. While the process was delayed a few times, it was always communicated and I was never left wondering. The second interview I met with two VP-level folks and the interview was a real delight, they were both very personable and it was more of a freeflowing conversation than an interview. While I was disappointed not to receive the offer, I couldn't have better things to say about the process and the professionalism I was treated with.
