I applied online. I interviewed at The White House (Washington, DC) in Apr 2024
Interview
It was very short, about 20 minutes. They specifically asked me why I wanted to work for the administration and how it tied in with my background. I made sure to discuss specific policy initiatives that were interesting to me
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What team would you want to work for in particular within OSTP and why?
Was as expected. Lots of cleaning up, many rooms. Of different colours. Easy to get lost. Met good people, amazing tools for the job provided. Not easy interview. Tricky cleaning questions
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The White House (Washington, DC) in Jan 2024
Interview
Apply with federal style resume, attend webinars, then it was a virtual interview in two parts. Two interviewers. After this, it would have been agency specific interviews. Sadly with the new DJT administration, this program is probably no-more. I declined to pursue further after election results.
