Interview
Many questions sometimes all the directors decide on you not just the one that interviews you. The questions are about how you would run your center and how to manage common problems that arise such as with employee tardiness to parents being angry. I didn't get a chance to ask much felt like there was a spot light on me and none of my answers were good enough but I was offered the job
I had a positive experience interviewing. There was a phone screen and then 3 rounds, but then I never heard back. I was disappointed that they never called to confirm that I didn’t get the job after so many rounds of interviews.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Nashua, NH) in May 2025
Interview
I recently interviewed for a director-level position and spent over two hours with the CEO. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. Throughout the conversation, it became apparent that the CEO had no real intention of considering me for the role and was more interested in extracting ideas than genuinely engaging in a recruitment process.
The tone of the meeting was condescending, and at times dismissive. Despite investing considerable time preparing and participating in the interview, I never received any follow-up — not even a basic acknowledgment or thank-you afterward. This level of disregard speaks volumes about the organization’s leadership culture.
It’s clear from both my experience and the organization’s reputation in the community that leadership struggles with employee retention at the management level. Strong leadership inspires, respects, and communicates — and unfortunately, I did not witness any of those qualities during my interaction.
Based on this experience, I would not consider employment with this organization in the future.
Great I did think the questions were a good range of different ones. Loved the feel of the interview and liked the various questions that were asked of me. Honestly this 30 word limit is a pain
