I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA)
Interview
The interivew took place at the branch with the Exec, a few co-workers (other directors) a board member and a volunteer. It was fairly intense for a job paying that low. You took turns going into 4 different rooms and being questioned.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
Friendly and Kind. I was allowed a tour and got to meet numerous staff members. The environment was clean and I was brought to a meeting room at a round table to answer my interview questions. I was interviewed by three people.

Question 1
How has my experience prepared me for this position
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Columbia, SC) in July 2014
Interview
I emailed the executive director my resume! He immediately emailed me for an interview. The interview was smooth. The executive was nice and he made me feel like I was already apart of the YMCA! He asked about my education and experience! I had to map out a typical day of a development program! For the most part, I think they look at personality and what positive traits you can bring to the"Y!"
