I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) in July 2014
Interview
I had one interview with the SPBC YMCA. I understand the third interview involves being interviewed by a panel but I did not make it to this point. The interview process was very smooth and professional. The first rounds of interview was rather unexpected as it involved getting a phone call from the HR manager and her asking me if now would be a good time to get a initial phone interview. She asked me about 7 or 8 questions and the conversation was, again, very pleasant and professional.
I honestly didn't think I had made it to the next round of interviews as I didn't hear from the organization in over 3 weeks. They then randomly called me back up and asked if I wanted to meet with the hiring manager for the next series of interview questions and insights. I did.
The second round of interviews lasted about 75 minutes and was also very good. They seemed open to all I had to say and I was impressed by how organized everyone involved was about the process.
In the end, I did not hear back from them (I guess I could have reached out more beyond the thank you letters I sent) so I assumed they continued the process of finding a volunteer coordinator without me.

Everyone was very kind and accommodating. I was required to do a short little "test," but they explained it well. Although I did not get the job, I enjoyed the process.
