Online application which was replied within 2 days;
Telephone interview that involves basic competency questions and information about your resume/CV;
Invited for a face to face interview within 2 days of the telephone interview in their Hong Kong office; interview was divided into 2 sessions both approx. 45 minutes with 4 interviews in total (2 each session)
1st session involved basic competency questions once again and a case study that resembles the day to day work of a research analyst; 2nd involved more advanced competency questions and it is also more of an informal chat with the manager of the division (we discussed football and the Euros, as well as off topic current affairs such as brexit);

Case study involving a potential investor wanting to know about the steel industry, and you are required to identify and dissect the value chain of the industry in order to determine which experts we should hire to consult the investor

Dont let them trick you into thinking this is an actual research position. You will be cold calling people most of your day. The interview process is relatively simple, first spoke with a recruiter who passed me onto an in-person round. I never heard from them after that.

Given this case industry, what types of industry experts would you contact on behalf of a client who is looking to invest in a company within that sector.
Had an interview for Forum role in Hongkong. Straightforward interview. The recruiter was very pleasant and nice, she was very professional. Prepare for your understanding of the role, although she was very nice in explaining the role in details, you knew it’s a major concern if you have no idea about the position youre applying. She also provides transparent feedback which I really appreciates. Not all companies or recruiters do the same. I always see this recruiter in job fairs and she’s overall nice and very accommodating. I would recommend trying an interview as it will change your perspective about the company and the role.
