I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Threat Stack (Boston, MA) in Jan 2019
Interview
Normal sales interview, tour of office space, met with peers and the CEO at the time. Felt like I was getting sold on the company more than I would have liked.
I applied online. I interviewed at Threat Stack (Boston, MA) in Jan 2021
Interview
The interview process was fairly thorough. Over the course of the interview I spoke with 6 people (a combination of managers and upper-leadership) and was eventually extended an offer. The internal recruiter did a very good job of getting back to me and letting me know exactly where I was in the process.
Though I am absolutely thrilled with the end result of getting an offer, had I not received an offer I still would have taken this as an overall positive experience. The team that interviewed me is very honest and let me know right away what they liked about me as a candidate while also offering up potential reservations in a constructive, respectful manner.

Interview
The interview process at Threat Stack was one of the more efficient I have gone through to date. I was initially contacted by one of their internal recruiters. Following a conversation about my prior experience, goals and some basic technical questions a meeting was scheduled with the hiring manager. Interviews with the hiring manager and various Threat Stack team members interviews were a mix of conversations to probe technical knowledge as well as understanding my personality under various potential customer situations. Threat Stack is not only interested to hire competent people but also people who understand how to be a 'team' member.

During one interview, we discussed various cyber breaches. One of the case studies discussed was the breach of Maersk. Based on what was known now, the interviewer wanted to know what I would had done differently to mitigate and recover from said breach.
