I applied online. I interviewed at Thrivent (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2009
Interview
Interview was very different. First interview was with a "launch manager." This person is commissioned to recruit you to the company. They are responsible for helping you get your licences and training. Upon completion of a haphazard training program, you are offered a contract. There are increasing goals that must be met to maintain your job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you comfortable around churches and what church do you attend.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Thrivent (Orlando, FL) in July 2015
Interview
On the phone, then they wanted to set up a Skype call, which I felt was strange. What kind of company would interview you over Skype. I felt I was just a number. We never connected on Skype. The recruited didn't even have a securities license, and he was hiring licensed consultants. Not a good fit. Wouldn't recommend this company!
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Thrivent
Interview
The recruiter was pleasant, transprarent, and non-salesy. The assessments took quite a while for me, but I can tell they are very focused on community involvement and are concerned with the type of people they want to work with.
Fairly easy as long as they know you are willing to put in the time and effort. They provide the training, but you have to be self motivated, thats what they want to see.
