I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok in June 2025
Interview
Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and scheduled a screening call. Then, met with a senior PM on the team, he went over my resume and asked me some advertising related questions. Followed by interviewing with the hiring manager a week later. This interview also do a brief review of my resume then went into a product sense interview. The interview wasnt particularly difficult but the interviewer was not listening nor taking notes either. The screening and first interview was great but the second interview experience was one of the worse I have. Late interviewer, unprepared, and uninterested in having a conversation - which is not a manager I'd want to have.
They arranged 3 rounds of interviews with all team members, not the hiring manager. I felt like it was not the typical process because one of them said they were changing the direction of this role.

Question 1
A really technical case and how to solve the pain point.
There are in total 4rounds including 2 rounds with senior peers and 1 round with +1 and round with HR, not that difficult. But I think the experience match is most important……..
4 interviews
- Recruiter screening
- HM interview
- Peer Interview
- Functional interview
Each round has around 45 minutes. Case and BQ are heavy, and the interviewers will leave 5-10 minutes for questions toward the end of the session
