I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Tinder (Palo Alto, CA) in Mar 2024
Interview
My interview process lasted about five weeks to get to the final step. It consisted of a phone screen with a recruiter, a technical screen, a 5-hour virtual on-site interview through Zoom, and then a hiring manager chat (behavioral style interview).
Overall, it was a great experience. Everyone throughout the process was really nice and welcoming.
I felt collaboration, talking through your thought process, and acting on feedback provided by interviewers were key factors that the team looked for.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tinder in July 2021
Interview
Basic phone screen followed by an hour-long engineering screen then the "virtual" onsite interview.
The onsite interview was an interesting format. There was a 15-minute intro interview and I was given a prompt for an app to make within a couple of hours. There was a lunch break/ check-in around halfway, then a group interview with 4 engineers who reviewed my work and asked questions about it.

Question 1
Signed an NDA so I can't be specific, but it contained many of your generic iOS questions with some deep dives into them.
