I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tintri
Interview
2 phone screen interviews . Both of them focused solely on coding questions.
The 1st one went of well, The question was to merge two lists with less than O(n) complexity iterating through only the larger list.
The 2nd one didnt go well . He asked me very specific os.walk related question and how do you create a file like structure from that.
I was under the impression by the recruiter that they tested you on general programming ability and clearly Java was the core language mentioned in my resume.
