It started off promising but quickly went downhill. I was referred by someone and had my initial interview scheduled right away, which went fine. The interviewer said they’d follow up within a few days, but it ended up being a couple of weeks and only after I reached out first.
They then asked me to complete two assessments: one personality/working style test and one logic-based. I understood that was part of their recruiting process and completed both. During my second interview (with the same person), I was told they couldn’t share the assessment results, which felt strange. She mentioned she’d be meeting with the hiring manager later that week and would follow up by early the next week. That never happened. Again, I had to follow up, and weeks later I finally received a message saying they’d moved forward with other candidates.
While I understand not being selected, the lack of communication from a company whose core business is advising others on recruiting and hiring was disappointing. To top it off, their salary range for a senior-level marketing manager (around $90K to $105K) was shockingly low. Overall, it felt like they don’t practice what they preach in their external messaging.
