Interview
The process was thorough but long-winded as a whole. Had an initial Zoom meeting with the mentor teacher, who invited me to the in-person interview. That meeting was also recorded (without being asked for permission…) When I arrived, I was left for an hour to fill out a questionnaire. This was then reviewed by the mentor teacher and the DOS, who then came to discuss my answers with me and ask me more questions. They asked me to come back in 30 minutes to meet with the owners; they left me waiting for a further 30-40 minutes as they were in a meeting. Met them, who also asked me questions and discussed the pay with me. I was offered the job but somewhat conditionally as I had to do a two-hour observed lesson the following week (for free) with the same DOS from the interview.

Standard questions: my teaching experience, the books I’d used prior, what I’d do in various situations, etc.

Interview
It was made up of three parts. I had a separate meeting with the director of studies, another one with the owner and then, the third test was teaching a lesson.
