I applied online and was contacted to setup a video interview for the initial screen with the hiring manager. Questions were related to cloud-architecture, automation, and systems administration. Was invited on-site for an interview with the team. I spoke with three/four different people discussing topics like configuration management, CI/CD architecture, and also had a general exercise with building, deploying, and scaling a simple, hypothetical app on AWS.
After the initial on-site, the hiring team was good about keeping me in the loop, and we shortly setup a second on-site interview. This involved some similar follow-up exercises involving Docker.
Although I eventually received an offer, I had to decline for personal reasons relating to where I was in my job search, and completely unrelated to TokBox. I would encourage anyone interested in joining an established DevOps team to interview with this team, as they have a modern workflow and tooling, and a friendly environment. Also, I think the building (SoMa SF) has some perks, like a free shuttle to Bart/Caltrain.
