I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tokopedia in Oct 2023
Interview
The interview process is simple and uncomplicated. It involves three stages - HR interview, User interview, and Manager interview, with no significant delays. During the User interview, your technical skills and problem-solving abilities will be assessed. On the Manager interview, the focus will be on non-technical skills such as self-improvement, the ability to meet targets under pressure, and insightful manager experience.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tokopedia (Jakarta) in Sept 2023
Interview
I went through a total of 4 interview stages after applying for the job posting on LinkedIn. Approximately 3 weeks later, if I remember correctly, I received a WhatsApp message from the Tokopedia recruiter informing me that to continue with the recruitment process, I needed to complete a set of 10 questions on the Hackerrank website related to system engineering. Around 3 weeks to a month later, I received an email from the recruiter again, inviting me to a phone call interview with the HR team. Then, about 1 week later, the recruiter offered me a date for Technical Test 1 (with the technical lead at Tokopedia), followed by another offer about 1 week later for Technical Test 2 (with the Lead Infrastructure Technical Engineer).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. For Hackerrank, there were 10 questions covering topics related to Ubuntu Linux, webserver Apache, Nginx, as well as some questions on Configuration Management (Ansible). There were also questions about designing systems in a cloud environment, such as how to design the flow of multiple virtual machines within a VPC and implementing load balancing. Finally, there was one coding question in Golang, where I was asked to create a function for traffic routing, although I don't remember the specific details as I provided an incorrect answer for this question. 2. During the phone call interview, we discussed the various stages of the interview process at Tokopedia. I introduced myself and provided an overview of my background, including some technical aspects of my work. 3. In Technical Interview 1, after the initial introduction, I was asked about my day-to-day responsibilities. They inquired whether I had experience with Linux environments, hypervisors, and infrastructure-as-code tools. 4. In Technical Test 2, I was asked questions related to high availability, specifically regarding hypervisors and virtual machines. There were also questions about Ubuntu Linux and its command-line usage, networking protocols, containerization, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools. Towards the end of the interview, they also asked if I could code and which programming languages I was comfortable with. That's about it from my side.
