Total disappointment! They were disorganized, disrespectful of the candidate's time and displayed many red flags. Ended up being a final candidate to come in for a final interview with the then founder/president Jerrod (along with 3 others in leadership positions, including the hiring manager VP and the cofounder/husband of Jerrod, some of which previous interviews also included) because the position would work closely with him and it was crucial to confirm the person is the right fit for working with him. Jerrod ended up not showing up, but no one in the meeting was aware of the fact that he decided not to show up, so we all just waited while the conversation in the interview veered toward them making light of how hard he is to work with and how temperamental he is. Once it was confirmed he was not showing up, we concluded the interview where I was shown to an empty office to speak with the recruiter about next steps...a room where I was left alone without anyone coming by for 30 minutes until I went out to the receptionist to inquire about the recruiter. The receptionist called the recruiter who came down without apologizing and just said she'd be in touch about next steps (so basically I never had to stay in the first place). She emailed me the next day saying they wanted to continue the process with me sending in references and working on a copy project — with no word on me actually meeting Jerrod when they had already placed so much importance on this happening. I withdrew my candidacy at that time because the whole process gave me a glimpse of a potentially nightmarish working environment and I wasn't willing to risk them possibly proving me wrong. The whole thing was shocking and it's still surreal that was my experience.
