I applied online. I interviewed at Topcon Healthcare
Interview
I recently applied for an internship position and was interviewed by HR representative Biali Aquino. While the initial interview seemed promising, the subsequent handling of my application was highly unprofessional and disappointing.
After the first round of interviews, Biali Aquino discussed my availability for a second interview with the director, indicating that my application was progressing. However, despite my consistent follow-ups via email over the next two weeks, I received no response. It was only after I made additional phone calls that I was abruptly informed they had decided to move forward with another candidate.
This prolonged period of uncertainty, where I was effectively ghosted, could have been avoided with timely communication. As an intern candidate, being left in limbo for weeks is disheartening and reflects poorly on the company’s recruitment process. The lack of transparency and respect for candidates' time demonstrates a significant need for improvement in the handling of internship applications.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Topcon Healthcare (Oakland, NJ) in May 2016
Interview
Easy interview. Little to no behavioral questions. They asked about what field I wanted to go into and why I thought Topcon would help me get there. Also what courses I've taken, and notable projects I've worked on. No technical questions.
