I normally do not give reviews but after my negative experience I decided to give one. Recently I applied for a role that strongly believe I qualified for. Within a couple of days of me applying, a recruiter sent me an invite to provide interview availability for a phone screening. Based on my availability, the phone screen was set for a particular day and time which I confirmed immediately via email. The day before the phone screening the recruiter sent me an email reminder for the day and time. My phone interview was set up at 4pm the next day. However, at 4pm, I did not receive a phone call or an email letting me know that the interview had to be reschedule or cancelled. I did reach out immediately via email but still no response. Basically, the recruiter was a no-show which I felt was very unprofessional. While this was just a normal phone screening it could be viewed for someone unemployed or looking to change careers a sense of hope that this may be for employment opportunity the individual was looking for. Even though I never got a chance to discuss my experience or learn more about the role, I did finally receive an email thanking me for applying and letting me know that there were no opportunities at this time. If there were no plans to interview or hire for the role, why even send out an email for a phone interview invite. Doing this sends out a false narrative about the employer that has a 4 Star rating.
