I applied online. I interviewed at Topgolf (Webster, TX) in Jan 2017
Interview
The recruiter, by the name of Dean Tackett, first emailed me to set up a time to speak over the phone. He contacted me the following week and he didn't ask to many "interview" questions more so questions about me personally and we really did have a great conversation. He told me to download an app so that I could interview for the position with two of the ladies who were over the Webster location via video chat. I'm thinking to myself that I obviously moved on to the next round of interviews. He said that he would be in touch with me within a week and he was going to talk to them the following day to set up an interview time.
One week past and he has not gotten back in touch with me so I sent him an email to check the status of my application and he says he will reach out to me tomorrow. That didn't happen. Two and a half weeks go by and he sends me an email saying that the location decided to only go with 1 event sales consultant and they want that person to be local with a book of business. I currently live in Dallas and wanted to relocate to the area and I made it clear to the recruiter. If that was one of their requirements then it definitely should have been stated in the job description (which it wasn't). If you are a great sales person you can establish a book of busy and you are limiting yourself by passing over great people and basically discriminating against people who "don't live in the city".
This is by far the most unprofessional experience I have had interviewing for a company. The fact that you tell me to download an app to get prepared for the next stage of the interview process and it doesn't happen is what upset me the most.
This company honestly need to work on their communication skills regarding "recruiting" potential applicants.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Topgolf (Edison, NJ) in June 2018
Interview
Started off with a phone screening by a recruiter who then set up a face to face interview at the facility. During the in person interview I met with the Director of Sales, and Operations Managers. After I was asked several questions by all of them I was given a tour of the facility. The whole process took about an hour and a half. Just wish I knew my competition was against an internal employee. You never really have a fair shot in that circumstance.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Topgolf (San Antonio, TX) in Oct 2016
Interview
there were two phone interviews with recruiters before I was told I would have a skype interview. The interview process was smooth, comfortable. My recruiter explained how the hiring process worked well, and prepared me for my next few interviews. The down side is, they never contacted me back, or emailed me. They stood me up on 2 interviews and I just counted it as a loss. not professional.
