I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Toptal in June 2018
Interview
There are 4 stages:
- video-call around 15 mins, be ready on time with good camera and microphone, prepare a description of the previous work, they will evaluate your adequacy and language skills,
- test: 100 questions for 40 minutes, very hard if you are not ready or have not enough experience, internet test questions may help to be prepared very well, especially recommend to look at agile-related and PMBOK oriented questions,
- one-hour or a very intensive interview with one of their professionals. First 30 mins answering questions regarding PM approaches, stakeholder management and risks topics, situational questions. The second 30 mins will be practical regarding one 'real' case,
- project work, you may spend on it 4-20 hours and then present it to the specialist.

Question 1
to walk through my entire design process live, from understanding the problem to delivering a solution for a specific case
The process was very comprehensive, and the interviewers were very good at what they were doing. The first phase is quite easy, but when it comes to the later stages that's where the weeding comes out. Overall a challenging interview.
Recruiter kept me well informed throughout the process. They also provided documents about the company and benefits which was appreciative. You’re also expected to take an assessment during the process.
