      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Tory Burch in May 2021

      Interview

Process: 30 minutes screening with the recruiter; 45 minutes interview with hiring manager one week later; I did not progress in the process The recruiter was great throughout the entire process. I thought the interview with the hiring manager was good - the questions were pretty standard. Based on the recruiter's feedback, my application was not advanced because the hiring manager thought I was too fixated on why I was leaving my job e.g., micro-manager. My initial response was that it wasn't a good fit - work environment-wise. She kept asking follow-up questions to which I said leadership style wasn't a good fit. In hindsight, I think I dodged a bullet. I had asked her about the team dynamic and her leadership style - her response was that it's more entrepreneurial, independent, etc. But given the feedback, I doubt she and the team are what she described. I mean, why would you harp on that fact if you're not a micro-manager yourself?
