Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your background on wine? What is your previous retail experience?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Total Wine & More (Austin, TX) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was interviewed by the store manager and it was basically a job offer with a couple of cursory wine/spirits questions thrown in.
Total Wine does a background check and 10-panel drug screen on every applicant. The drug test looks for the usual cocaine, amphetamines and THC, but it will also find benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium) and any anti-depressant.
I was told that I would be getting a credit check as part of the screening process since I was being hired as a wine associate, but I never saw any evidence of this on my credit reports and I don't think it actually happened.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Total Wine & More (Cherry Hill, NJ) in Apr 2020
Interview
Very straight forward, informative, and professional. All of the questions were respectful, well organized, and introduced information about the company. Overall, I felt very comfortable during the entire interview process.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Total Wine & More (San Antonio, TX) in Apr 2018
