I applied online. I interviewed at Tourmaline Labs in Mar 2021
Interview
Very long and unprofessional. Went through 6 interviews very close together, was told I was frontrunner for job. Hiring manager exchanged personal numbers with me was very excited to bring me on, until... I do not know what happened but last minute they changed when I was supposed to be notified if I would be offered role. All of a sudden they ask for references for my performance (gladly gave them) and a project on presenting an onboarding guide for a social media app. 2 days after presentation (which they said was excellent) was told not getting offer because of technical knowledge, if that's the case why waste my time with me creating a project and then and my references.
They were very unprofessional as I had to email them multiple times for updates on deadlines they imposed. I reached out to them for the last time, on personal cell number (given to me after 2nd interview because was told I was most likely getting job, asking for long term commitment, which was given) asking him for an update as they told me they would have one for me but never responded to my text and later sends me a generic decline email. What a coward.
Also, very unprofessional was the questioning in one interview where he had me solve a word problem about a woman and the possibility of her being unfaithful to her husband. It was in regards to driving distance and whether the total miles would mean she drove to have an affair.

Many, but the one that stands out is very unprofessional was the questioning in one interview where he had me solve a word problem about a woman and the possibility of her being unfaithful to her husband. It was in regards to driving distance and whether the total miles would mean she drove to have an affair.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Tourmaline Labs (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
Had a phone interview, which was fun, then was brought onsite to do 4 hour long one-on-one interviews with various members of the company. Some interviews were technical others were higher level. Went out for lunch with them as well, all in all it was a really great process.
I was not extended an offer and offered no explanation as to why. I politely asked via email and received no response. After spending almost a whole day at their office, it'd be nice to get at least a little explanation.
