I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Trace3
Interview
I was approached be a recruiter via LinkedIn. I had one phone interview with the recruiter (not a LaSalle Employee), then a phone interview with a manager at LaSalle. Next, they flew me to Rosemont for a day to interview in person with a manager and a director. Flying in for an interview made me feel wanted, however the rushed feeling was hectic. They should have planned it to be an overnight.

Interview
Tread lightly and don’t expect much is all I’ll lead with.
I was directly contacted on LinkedIn on March 25 by a recruiter for Lasalle, who happened to be employed by Fifth Third Bank. I was a bit confused on the relationship between the two companies as I had seen these roles posted that I was qualified for but they always said the employer was a bank. The recruitment contact person wanted to schedule a meeting to chat. We decided to schedule on March 30th in the afternoon. I sent over my resume as requested and went from there.
The 30th comes around and I await the inbound phone call as instructed. 5 minutes go by, then 10, then 15. I then reply via email to our last communication and verify our time slot and if it was still good or if we had to reschedule. No response. Another 40 minutes pass and my lunch break is almost over, so I reach back out and ask to reschedule as my available window of time has passed. Again, no reply back from Lasalle/Fifth Third recruiter.
I let a few days pass and decide to try one final time at the end of the week , sending a message to the person on LinkedIn. Maybe that was the preferred point of contact. I was about the past missed meeting and see if we could reschedule. At this point over 1 week has passed since they contacted me.
I finally get a response today (a full 10 days after our original scheduled phone meeting) and was told that they tried calling me but it wouldn’t connect & at this time they are moving forward with another candidate. I’m baffled as to how it really took this long to even touch base.
I don’t know if it truly was technical issues or if they saw my resume and this is just their way of saying they weren’t interested. My gut tells me if this is how the recriminations process is handled, then what makes me thing it’s any different as a hired employee?
