I was interviewed by my soon to be store manager. The interview lasted 45 minutes long but went by very fast. My interviewer began by asking me to tell her about myself. When I was done, she described what it was like to work for TS. She then picked from a list of questions provided to her by TS which prompted me to go into deeper detail so she could get a feel for my experience and abilities as they might relate to TS. I found her questions unique compared to other interviews and thought they were fun to answer. I told her as much. She thanked me a d told me they give her a list to choose from and she decided to pick less obvious questions to ask me. I took that as the compliment I believe it was intended to be. She then asked me if I had any questions. At which point I took out my list of questions. One of my questions began with a description of my favorite job and asked if TS offered any jobs similar to it. To my surprise and excitement, she informed me hey did have something very similar! She said it would be an easy transition from the spot I was applying for. I ended my part by telling her TS was my first choice for future employment. Adding I was extremely excited to be considered for any position they saw me fit for and I hoped to hear from her soon. She was happy to tell me she too was excited to set me up with a second interview with her district manager and looked forward to his input on where to place me. I had interviewed for assistant manager but have a 20 history in retail and could easily perform any job they offered. She was staffing for a store nor yet opened and think the idea of an applicant with my experience and positive attitude is what excited her. In about an hour, she called to tell me, after telling her coworkers about me she decided I'd be perfect for a title I had not applied for. I had, however(unbeknownst to me)asked about it during my question portion. I was told I would be contacted by the district FAST team manager to further my interview process. Within a couple days, I was in said interview, which lasted just under an hour. Another great interview ending in her letting me know her decision at the beginning of the following week, after she interviewed the rest of the candidates. Much to my elatement, she called me within a hour and said she was excited to make me an offer! Throughout the following two weeks I completed a background check and other pre employment onboarding tasks and prepared to begin, what I feel like will be, my next great experience in the field of retail doing something I am passionate about; merchandising. Thank TS, for such a professional and heartfelt process! I can't wait for this relationship to grow!
