I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (San Diego, CA) in July 2016
Interview
The interview is not as nerve-wracking as a lot of them can be. They make you feel comfortable and the process doesn't take long at all. The managers that interviewed me where I feel selected to see if they are worth working for the company. They have a process of seeing how people react and how they handle things in order to hire them.

I had a call with the hiring manager about a sales associate position. After a few days, I got a follow up to come in for a basic interview that went over my previous sales associate experiences.

The interview process was pretty standard for a retail environment. They asked the usual questions you would expect for this type of role and required the usual amount of experience.

Question 1
How will you improve the customer experience at Trader Joes
Was awesome - very friendly and down to earth, seems like a great place to work. Hope I get the job. Some easy questions, about work experience and the like, but also some curveballs. They asked me to give a lot of scenarios where I encountered certain difficulties and $18 an hour is not bad.
