I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (New York, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
I went into this specific location twice. Once in June and the other in October. The first time I went I was asked the generic questions( why you want to work at Trader Joe's and your favorite products) by one of the manager. You know who the manager is by the floral short sleeve button shirt. So he gave a card and I left. I never heard from anyone, not even a letter in the mail. When I went back a second time I spoke with a different manager. I made sure to shake hands, I brought something prior to speaking to the manager, made small talk. The next day I recieved a phone call from Trader Joe's telling me to come in on Friday. I thought the interview went well. I asked a bunch of question. The women who interviewed me said I'm smart when I mentioned the new store opening just block away and how it was going to help take some of the over welming crowds of people. I wasn't nervous at all. I even had an open availability. I went on the interview Friday and by Tuesday I recieved a phone call from Trader Joes by a man named Tyler and he said their pursuing other candidates. The only think I could of, is they didn't want to hire someone with little work experience. Good luck to anyone who gets an interview. Your going to need it.

Interview
I was not hired! It was a new store so it was a very competitive position. I was emailed the day after my application, but denied shortly after the call. I am under the assumption that this location prefers experienced people.

Submitted an application in person. The manager who accepted the application asked me about favorite Trader Joe's products. Later received a call asking if would like to interview. Was interviewed by two managers, fairly low key but professional.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (New York, NY) in Dec 2017
Interview
Rigorous process. 2 separate interviews first with a manager and the final with the store captain. Overall the process took about 2 weeks. But also took a little bit to hear back from when I dropped off my resume.
