Given that I’ve successfully managed this commute for several years in similar roles without issue, I found this reasoning unexpected. While I appreciate transparency in recruitment, the decision felt dismissive and might have been better handled through a conversation rather than email. Location-based assumptions can overlook individual circumstances and risk excluding capable candidates unnecessarily.
