Trexquant Investment Alpha Research Trainee/ interview questions

One phone interview about resume and background, 30 miniutes or so, one on line test interview coding in matlab solving for matrix manipulation and monte carlo simulation problem, three weeks' research project evaluation each project per week developing trading strategies on given topic

Phone interview. Was called by an analyst and assigned two brainstorm questions to complete in 30mins. Then he called me back and discussed my answers. And then we moved on to a coding test, which was not difficult but knowledge in basic financial modeling was needed. An offer was made at the end of the interview. Overall good and fun, not painful.
