Interview
Applied online. Phone interview with recruiter. Then a phone conversation with the CTO. Invited for interviews. Had a 2.5 hour interview (met with 5 people).
After the interview, I did not hear back for 4 weeks. I was told I'd hear back in a couple of weeks. I follow up with the recruiter and she apologizes and tells me that the CTO has decided to retire (business speak for "he was fired!"). While I understand that businesses go through their changes, this process gave me a glimpse for how the company is run. The recruiter was very slow to respond and she did not have the courtesy to let a candidate who has invested hours into the process, that things were on old because of the change in leadership. I did let the recruiter know as much.
