I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Trillium Gift of Life Network (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview process was relatively quick, which was a relief because I didn't have to do it face-to-face. However, I found the hiring process through Ontario Health to be somewhat toxic. It seems like they are more focused on posting job openings for the sake of growth rather than actually filling the positions. This particular role didn't seem to be a priority for them. Or they are looking for that needle in a haystack sort of speak. Or maybe a current VP to fill this role.
As a candidate, I felt slightly overqualified for the opportunity, yet I left the interview with the impression that they had little interest in the process. Additionally, I sensed a political bias during the recruitment through Ontario Health, which added to my discomfort with it all. Overall, I likely won’t apply to this organization again; it just doesn't seem worth it to put in the effort to apply, knowing you are a competitive candidate, and to get such a response.

Interview
A series of questions, some based on relevant experience and many on your expectations of the job and what you believe you may need in order to succeed. Very friendly and easy going, and gives you a chance to show who you are as a person as opposed to what you may know about the job only.
