I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Trimble in Jan 2010
Interview
I heard about the position through a friend who worked in a different business division. There was one phone screen with HR and one on-site interview with HR, business division management and technical staff. The on-site portion lasted approximately 3 hours. The HR person asked the standard HR questions, like what are your weaknesses, what are your strengths, etc, fill out the employment application and then do a short tour of the facility to where the technical interview began. The first stop was the group manager who did most of the talking and didn't ask that many questions. The total time was approximately 30 minutes. Next were three technical staff interviews which lasted about 30 minutes each. The questions were mainly related to the job, the technology and my experience. The conversations were open and free flowing and a positive experience overall.

Question 1
One of the technical interviewers asked a rather difficult question related to problem he said he was having at the time related to Solaris device identity and if I knew how to map the /pci@0,0/pci1022,7450@2 path to the correct disk.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Trimble (Denver, CO) in Oct 2025
Interview
The process started with a very casual first call followed by a second call later that same day, but after that I didn’t receive any response despite following up. Overall, the communication and structure of the hiring process felt disorganized and unclear.
3 rounds of Interview with two technical and one HR. All the rounds were very professional.
First two rounds were with the technical lead and followed by a tech architect
